Three of four Norwegian students of technology are being headhunted before having taken their final exams, and just two percent are jobless six months after graduating according to new numbers.
With the Norwegian oil industry still in expansion mode, even community college students are being targeted, with one in four getting the call to work without ever having sent out a résumé.
The run of jobs was recorded on-again by newspaper Aftenposten, which cited the findings of a report commissioned by one of many Norwegian engineer advocacy organizations.
A half decade of fast-track training between Norwegian suppliers and community colleges has produced a useful manpower levy for the country of 4.5 million inhabitants. Universities, meanwhile, enjoy a close research and staffing relationship with the oil industry.
