Iran spent some dlrs 3.6bn in various gas development projects during the past three quarters of Iranian year (March 20-December 21, 2007), it was reported on Wednesday.
Deputy oil minister and managing director of National Iranian Gas Company, Reza Kassaei-Zadeh, made the remarks in a meeting of the company's senior executive managers.
He said that various projects were inaugurated during the period including establishment of 2,500 km pipeline for gas transfer as well as six projects to supply gas to rural areas.
The official added the capacity of Iran gas production has increased from 380 million cubic meters last year to 473 cubic meters in the past nine months.
