Officials of Iran and Belarus reached an agreement on Wednesday on development of an oil field in southwestern Iran near the Iraqi borders.
The agreement was signed in a ceremony attended by caretaker of the Oil Ministry, Gholam- Hossein Nozari.
Based on the agreement, oil experts from Iran and Belarus would cooperate in a project to develop the 'Jofeireh' oil field located in an area some 80 km southwest of the city of Ahvaz in Khuzestan province.
The project would be implemented in line with the policy to increase exploitation of Iran's national oil resources.
