ASIA: Energy minister in Japan to attend Asia, Pacific energy meeting

Iranian Energy Minister Parviz Fattah on Sunday arrived in Japan to take part in the first meeting of Asia and Pacific countries on 'water'.

Deputy Energy Minister for Water Affairs Rasoul Zargar, Head of National Water Research Institute Farhad Yazdandoost and Iranian Ambassador to Japan Mohsen Talaie are accompanying Fattah.

The meeting is scheduled to kick off in the city of Beppo on Monday.

Members of parliaments and representatives from private and public sectors, universities, non-governmental organizations and mass media will participate in the international meeting.

Climate changes, investments in water sector, aquatic resources, environment and global warming are the subjects to be discussed at the meeting.
