AFRICA: Ivory Coast opens to oil-company trio

Ivory Coast explorers Edison of Italy, Tullow of Ireland and KUFPEC of Kuwait have been awarded a 1,000 square kilometres to survey in by authorities in Abidjan, the Ivorian capital. Permit No. 102 will be 31.5 percent Edison’s, 27-percent Tullow’s and 10-percent KUFPEC’s, with the Ivorians retaining 31.5 percent, Thomson-Financial has reported.
