The oil-rich southern coastal province of Ba Ria Vung Tau on April 7 signed a cooperation deal with the Viet Nam National Petroleum Group (VNPG), aiming to give a boost to the development of both sides.
Endowed with oil reserves, Ba Ria-Vung Tau is home to many oil and gas exploration projects carried out by the VNPG, which has helped turn the locality into the country's largest oil and gas industry-driven province.
The deal demonstrates Ba Ria-Vung Tau's commitments to offering the best conditions for the VNPG in implementing projects in the locality.
In the meantime, the province and the VNPG are cooperating in building a petrochemical and oil refinery complex in the Long Son island commune, an important project expecting to contribute greatly to spurring the nation's economic growth.
