MIDDLE EAST: Total continuing South Pars LNG talks


Total SA of France Executive Director Christophe de Mergeris is continuing talks on South Pars LNG project with Oil Ministry and Pars Oil and Gas Company, director of Total Public Relations Office said on Sunday.

Referring to the trilateral talks on Pars LNG scheme, Roya Farhang underlined that the Total is currently following up the plan.

She hoped that Total and Pars Oil and Gas negotiations on implementing the South Pars LNG project could lead to a conclusion.

"Total and Pars Oil and Gas have not reached a conclusion yet," Farhang said, adding that according to National Iranian Gas Export Company's data, liquefied natural gas production capacity is about 10 million tons annually in the Pars LNG project.

"Some dlrs 11.6 billion have been anticipated for implementing the project," Farhang added.
