Russia’s exports of gas narrowed 11.9 percent on year to 93.5 billion cu meters in the first half of 2007, signaled the Jan-Jun outlook elaborated by the RF Economic Development and Trade Ministry. Despite some momentum gained in May and June, the far-abroad deliveries shed on warmer weather conditions in the first half of 2007, the ministry’s outlook explained.

At the same time, the drop in gas exports to Ukraine was offset by growth in supplies to Kazakhstan generated by return deliveries of Karachaganak gas after processing at Orenburg Gas Refining Plant.

The average contract price for Western Europe surged 14.9 percent on year in the first half of 2007. Russia grew H1 production 0.1 percent on year to 333 billion cu meters, according to Economic Development and Trade Ministry.
