Xethanol Corp., a renewable fuel company that converts biomass raw material to ethanol and other products, said Friday it named Gary Flicker executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Former CFO Larry Bellone will become executive vice president of corporate development.
Flicker is the founder of Flick Financial, a professional accounting and financial services firm established to help businesses with financial and related accounting needs. From March 2004 until November 2006, Flick Financial worked with HealthSouth (other-otc: HLSH.PK - news - people ) Corp. to help restate its financial statements, Xethanol (amex: XNL - news - people ) said.
The company also said its board elected Gil Boosidan and Robert L. Franklin as new independent members. Boosidan is senior vice president of IDT Corp. (nyse: IDT - news - people ) Franklin chairs the Angel Investor Network and is president of Prospect Ventures Inc.
Xethanol shares rose 5 cents to close at $2.84 on the American Stock Exchange.
